The Benz 16/35 PS was the successor to the Benz 20/35 PS . In 1912 the 16/35 PS was replaced by the Benz 16/40 PS .

The 16/35 PS was equipped with a four-cylinder in-line engine with 3950 cc capacity, the 35 hp (26 kW) at 1600 min ^-1 developed. The engine power was passed on to a four-speed gearbox via a leather cone clutch and from there to the rear wheels via a cardan shaft . The top speed was 80 km / h and the fuel consumption was 20 l / 100 km.

The launched even in the publication year of the 16/35 PS successor 16/40 PS possessed an equal motor but 40 hp (29 kW) at 1700 min ^-1 gave.
