The Benz patent motor car Ideal was a further development of the first Benz patent motor car Velo .

description

This car, too, initially had single-cylinder engines that were installed across the rear of the vehicle. The first two - cylinder boxer engine appeared in 1902 . The following engines were offered:

A three-speed gearbox with reverse gear transferred the engine power to the rear wheels.

The vehicles cost between 3800 and 5200 gold marks . There was also the Duc with four forward gears and emergency seat for 6,000 gold marks and the Charette , also with four forward gears for 5500 to 5700 gold marks.

A total of around 300 vehicles were built.
