The Benz 8/18 PS was a further development of the Benz 10/18 PS .

The car was equipped with a four cylinder in-line engine with 1950 cc capacity, the 18 HP (13 kW) at 1800 min -1 developed. The engine power was passed on to a four-speed gearbox via a leather cone clutch and from there to the rear wheels via a cardan shaft. The maximum speed was 62 km / h, the gasoline consumption 14-15 l / 100 km.

The leaf-sprung vehicle with wooden spoke wheels and tires cost as chassis without bodywork 6200 - when runabout 7200, - as Limousine 8500, - and as Landaulet the same price.
