The Benz 16/50 PS was a further development and the last construction model of the Benz 21/50 PS from Benz & Cie.

The car was fitted with a six-cylinder in-line engine with 4160 cc capacity, the 50 HP (37 kW) at 2000 min -1 developed. The engine power was passed on to a four-speed gearbox via a leather cone clutch and from there to the rear wheels via a cardan shaft. The maximum speed was 90 km / h, the gasoline consumption 16-18 l / 100 km.

The vehicles were still equipped with leaf-sprung rigid axles and wooden or wire-spoke wheels. The touring car was offered for RM 19,500.00 in 1924. By 1926 the price had dropped to RM 12,900 and the limousine cost RM 15,000

The vehicles, only available as touring cars, reached a top speed of 110 km / h and consumed 18–20 l / 100 km of petrol.

The sports model was discontinued in 1925, the standard model disappeared in 1927 without a successor as part of the type streamlining of the merged Daimler-Benz AG .
