The Benz 82/200 hp was an open sports car that was equipped with an engine that was otherwise intended for use in airships . At the same time it was the most powerful car ever built by Benz.

It was equipped with a four cylinder in-line engine with 21.5 liters, 200 hp (147 kW) at 1300 min -1 developed. The engine power was passed on to a four-speed gearbox via a leather cone clutch and from there to the rear wheels via a cardan shaft. The top speed was 170 km / h.

The vehicles were equipped with leaf-sprung rigid axles and wire-spoke wheels. The chassis cost 36,000 marks .
