The Benz 20/35 PS was a further development of the Benz 28/30 PS .

The car was first fitted with a four-cylinder in-line engine with 5195 cc capacity, the 35 hp (26 kW) at 1400 min -1 developed. The engine power was passed on to a four-speed gearbox via a leather cone clutch and from there to the rear wheels via chains or a cardan shaft, depending on the customer's request. The top speed was 75 km / h, the fuel consumption 22 l / 100 km. In 1910 the displacement was reduced to 4850 cm³ while maintaining the same output.

The leaf-sprung vehicle was fitted with wooden spoke wheels and pneumatic tires and was available as a double phaeton for 15,500.00, as a limousine for 17,500.00 or as a landaulet for the same price. The chain drive cost ℳ 1,000.00 extra.
