Piotr Balcerowicz
Piotr Balcerowicz (* 1964 ) is a Polish Indologist .
Life
He obtained an MA in Indology ( University of Warsaw ) in 1990 and a Dr. phil. in Indology ( University of Hamburg ) and in 2005 the habilitation in philosophy ( Polska Akademia Nauk ). In 2006 he was visiting professor at the University of Hamburg ( Asia-Africa Institute , Indology). From 2008 to 2011 he was Professor of International Relations at the Uniwersytet Humanistycznospołeczny . Since 2011 he has been teaching as a professor of Indology (University of Warsaw ). In 2016 he was visiting professor at the University of the Punjab (Pakistan Study Center, International Relations, Politics and History of South Asia). In 2018 he was visiting professor at Ashoka University (Indian philosophy). He is DAAD visiting professor at LMU .
His research and teaching focuses on Indian philosophy, history, religions and cultures of South Asia, Sanskrit, Prakrits, Pali.
