Pistorius distillery
The Pistoriussche burning apparatus or Pistoriussche apparatus is a 1817 by the merchant and distiller Johann Heinrich Leberecht Pistorius in Weissensee trumped- burning apparatus for the production of brandy from potatoes .
On March 21, 1817 he received a patent for the “express right to use and manufacture a peculiar distilling apparatus.” This dephlegmator made the production of brandy so easy and cheap that agriculture in Brandenburg was converted within a short time.
