content

This series is about the adventures of Pittje Pit, a boy from Spelunkenstedt , a notorious pirate hideaway, who happens to be a cabin boy among the crew of the pirate ship "Knurrhahn". The captain of this ship is the notorious pirate Hackepeter, whose name alone makes his enemies flee. The crew consists of the mate Kuddel Priembeiss, the Chinese cook Sham-Pu, the ship's doctor Doc Gallenstein, the Viking Staif Olafson and the cat Nelson. With his shipmates, Pittje Pit gets into a wide variety of situations in which he finds the solution with common sense and thwarts the pirates' machinations.
