Friedrich Wilhelm Andreas John
Friedrich Wilhelm Andreas John (born March 22, 1835 in Osterwieck ; † December 28, 1912 there ) was a Prussian lawyer and politician.
Life
John attended high school in Halberstadt and Magdeburg . He then studied law in Göttingen , Greifswald , Berlin and Halle . As a reserve officer, most recently with the rank of captain , he took part in the German War in 1866 and in the Franco-German War in 1871/1872 . From 1877 to 1889 he was mayor of Osterwieck. After 1892 he was employed by the Prussian Statistical Office in Berlin .
On August 1, 1889, as a candidate for the German Reich Party, he won a replacement election in the Reichstag constituency of Magdeburg 8 ( Halberstadt , Oschersleben , Wernigerode ) and was a member of the Reichstag until the end of the legislative period the following year. In the Reichstag election in 1890 he was defeated by the national liberal candidate Hans Rimpau .
