Hans Rimpau

Hans Rimpau (born May 23, 1854 in Schlanstedt ; † February 17, 1919 in Emersleben ) was a lawyer, manor owner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hans Rimpau was the son of District Administrator August Wilhelm Rimpau , who with his wife Sophie Rimpau, nee. Bode, had eight children: Arnold Diedrich Wilhelm Rimpau , Elisabeth, Marie, Emilie, Rudolf, Margarethe, Hans, Hermann. Rimpau attended the Dom-Gymnasium in Halberstadt and from 1875 to 1879 the universities of Leipzig , Strasbourg and Berlin . As a trainee lawyer, he was employed at the courts in Wernigerode , Halle and Berlin from 1879 to 1884 . After graduating from the court assessor, he devoted himself to agriculture and in 1889 took over his manor in Emersleben. He was also head of office, registrar and member of the district council.

From 1890 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Magdeburg 8 ( Halberstadt , Oschersleben , Wernigerode ) and the National Liberal Party . After he was elected to the Prussian House of Representatives in January 1891 for the same constituency that he represented in the Reichstag, he was a member of this until 1908.
