Bernhard Mann (historian)

Bernhard Mann (born October 13, 1936 in Stuttgart ) is a German historian and emeritus of the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen .

Live and act

Bernhard Mann completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller after graduating from high school (1955) and studied from 1956 to 1961 for teaching ( history , German and English ) in Tübingen (and London ), Berlin (FU) , Heidelberg and again Tübingen. Since 1961, Mann has been working at the History Seminar in Tübingen, Department of Modern History , received his doctorate in 1963, completed his habilitation in 1971 and has been a professor since 1974. Bernhard Mann retired in 2002. One of his more recent works is The Little History of the Kingdom of Württemberg .
