Thomas Kuehne

Thomas Kühne (born March 13, 1958 in Cologne ) is a German historian .

Kühne received his doctorate in 1992 from the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . He taught at the universities in Bielefeld and Konstanz and has held the Strassler Chair for the Study of Holocaust History and director of the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University , Massachusetts , since 2004 .

Kuehne won the 1995 prize of the German Bundestag for parliamentarism, had 1,998 and 2,001 scholarships from the German Research Foundation , 2010, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and 2003 and 2010 of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton .
