Badge of the air district Kiev

The badge of the air district Kiev was a non-wearable award of the German air force during the Second World War , which was donated by the general of the anti-aircraft cartillery Bernhard Waber in 1941 for the members of the air district Kiev .

The blackened plaque made of iron shows in its upper half the embossed sovereign badge of the Air Force in front of an implied sky, underneath a landscape with the silhouette of a city ( Kiev ?). The lower part of the plaque, which is about 1/4 of the height, shows a semicircular waving banner with the inscription: FOR.BESONDERE.BEWÄHRUNG Under this curved banner is a coat of arms with the inscription: KIEW / 1941 / BRESLAU , which is made of oak leaves on both sides is flanked. Below that is the two-line inscription: DER KOMMANDIERENDE.GENERAL.AND / BEFEHLSHABER.IM.LUFTKAU.KIEV . The badge was presented with a corresponding title deed in A4 format.
