The Plane Driven PD-1 and PD-2 small aircraft are modifications of a Glasair Sportsman 2 + 2 that can be quickly converted into a flying car.

The new approach is to equip a normal aircraft with a modified landing gear, called a "pod". This contains a separate motor for the road drive.

The wings of the PD are folded along its sides, the aircraft landing gear and the additional landing gear together form a three-point drive configuration. Due to the rear-folded wings, a rear center of gravity is created, which ensures a stable road position.

With three wheels, this flying car is also more easily approved for road use, since it is a motorcycle or a trike .
