Plants vs Zombies Heroes is a mix of trading card and fighting game, the aim of which is to defeat the opposing hero. This version for iOS was released in 2016 and is part of the Plants versus Zombies series .
cards
There are different degrees of rarity of the cards. Besides, not all cards can be found in the same pack. For example, common cards can only be found in basic packs (which cost 100 coins or 50 diamonds). Others in Premium Packs (100 diamonds). There are plants and zombie cards. In addition to cards, there are also heroes who are also important for the game.
Rarity levels
- Event Cards: Event Cards cannot be found in packs. However, you get them on certain events. Earn tickets and get great cards with them
- Token cards: Tokens are cards that you cannot get in the game under any circumstances. However, you get it if you play a card that summons that card.
- Common Maps: Only one Common Map has been sighted so far. The grizzly pear. Similar to tokens, you cannot get these cards for your decks, but they can be summoned by other cards. It is not yet clear why this card is not a token.
- Super Rare Cards: Super Rare Cards are trick cards that you can't get in packs, but you can play them by playing the associated hero.
- Basic Frequent Cards: Basic Frequent Cards can be found in Basic Packs and are quite common.
- Premium Unusual Cards: For Premium Unusual Cards you have to open at least one Premium Pack. But even there these cards are even guaranteed (i.e. as with the basic frequent cards)
- Premium Rare Cards: Premium Rare Cards can also be found in Premium Packs. However, they are a little rarer. But still they are guaranteed.
- Premium Super Rare Cards: Premium Super Rare Cards are not guaranteed in Premium Packs. However, with a little luck you can get this too
- Premium Legendary Cards: Premium Legendary Cards are the rarest in the game and are also available in Premium Packs. They are also not guaranteed. If you do get one it is of course a special honor.
Heroes
Heroes, like Premium Cards, are available in Premium Packs. They are the most important thing in a fight and are very rare in packs. Heroes and cards are divided into different groups (classes). This means that heroes can only use cards that correspond to their class. However, heroes have 2 classes. So think carefully about which hero you play.
deck
The deck consists of 40 cards, 4 superpower cards and a hero. It is necessary to fight.
Packs
(Almost) all cards can be found in packs. Heroes can also be found. There are two different types of packs: Premium Pack and Basic Pack. Only basic frequent cards can be found in the basic pack. Everything else in Premium Packs. Tokens, Frequent, Super Rare, and Event Cards cannot be found in packs. However, heroes can also be found in Premium Packs, but that rarely happens.

Starting cards
Each player draws his starting cards at the beginning of a fight. They consist of 4 random cards which can also be shuffled once again. In addition, a superpower is added.
Trains
- Plants play: When it says "Plants play" the player can place all cards with the plant hero, provided he has enough suns.
- Playing zombies: When it says "playing zombies", the player with the zombie hero may place all cards (except trick cards) as long as he has enough brains (zombies play first, then the plants)
- Zombie Tricks: When it says "Zombie Tricks" the player can play tricks with the zombie hero if he has enough brains.
- Combat: Now the plants and zombies attack each other. If damage is caused to the hero, his block display will fill up and he can repel an attack after a certain number of hits.
- Next round: If the zombies play again, both players receive a sun or one more brain and everything starts over.
On-line
In addition to missions, there are also online battles. In online battles you play differently than in missions against real opponents for ranks. After every victory you get a star, with every fifth star you move up a rank. If you lose a fight, you also lose a star.
