The place without a name (proper spelling PoN) is unofficially called Glücksburger Platz. The border from Altona-Nord to Eimsbüttel runs through it . Eimsbütteler Straße, Glücksburger Straße, Ophagen, Pinneberger Weg, Sandweg and Sophienallee flow into the square.
The city of Hamburg left the square to its own devices for a long time and didn't even give it an official name or signage. That is why there is a neighborhood initiative that tries to revive the square and promote togetherness.
Connection to public transport
The square without a name is easy to reach by public transport. The square is about 5 minutes from the Emilienstraße train station and can be reached via Fruchtallee, Charlottenstraße, Sophienallee and Pinneberger Weg. The square can be reached in 6 minutes from the Alsenplatz bus stop (bus lines 20/25). From the bus station Langenfelder Straße (bus lines 183/283) it takes 5 minutes.
Culture on the square without a name
In 2014, the neighborhood initiative took part in an online competition organized by the arte TV channel to get British indie rock band Maxïmo Park to play a house concert at the unnamed square. Although the online voting was won, the arte jury decided against the PoN.
