Space design

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the context of urban development, plaza design means the architectural construction, layout and structuring of urban open spaces.

The design of the square must, on the one hand, take into account local, technical, structural requirements and conditions; on the other hand, it is based on aesthetic criteria. The elements of the square design include the flooring (often designed as paving ), often greenery with a partially park-like design, lighting and other street furniture such as benches, advertising pillars , kiosks, fountains, etc.

Architects or landscape architects are usually responsible for planning public spaces .
