Playboys is the second album by the Finnish rock band The Rasmus (at the time they were just called "Rasmus"). It was released on August 29, 1997. In Finland the album and the single Blue achieved gold status.

history

The Rasmus released their second studio album Playboys in August 1997. It also went gold in Finland. The sound was similar to Peep, but more instruments such as B. Trumpets and saxophones before. That gave the album a mix of rock, funk and ska. The previous producer Teja Kotilainen was replaced by Illka ​​Herkman. The band released a music video for the single Playboys .

Kola

Kola is the first single from the Playboys album and was released by Warner Music. The single only contains the track Kola . The song is about Kola ( Finnish. Kola , Cola ). The Rasmus supported Pepsi at this point, which can also be seen on the cover.

Blue

Blue is the second single from the album and was also released by Warner Music Finland. The single was a huge hit in Finland and achieved gold status. He rose to number three in the Finnish single charts.

Playboys

Playboys was published by Warner Music Finland. It is the third single from the album of the same name, and only contains the track Playboys. It's a happy and fast-paced song that shows the whole nature of the album. The lyrics are about a rich singer who doesn't need a job and can do whatever he wants.
