The Plimsouls

The Plimsouls were founded in Los Angeles at the end of 1978 as "The Tone Dogs" by Peter Case (formerly The Nerves ), Dave Pahoa, Lou Ramirez and Eddie Munoz. When the first EP was released, the band had already renamed themselves The Plimsouls (British slang for gymnastic shoes ) and, influenced by the British bands of the 1960s ( American Invasion ), played power pop . The band broke up in 1984.
