Plotius Tucca

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Plotius Tucca was an educated Roman of the 1st century BC. He was a friend of Virgil , Maecenas and Horace . Together with Lucius Varius Rufus he was editor of Virgil's Aeneid . Like Virgil, he came from northern Italy. Horace names him together with Varius and Virgil. It is obvious that he was a poet like his friends, but no work of his has come down to us.
