Plume

Plume (English originally "Helmbusch") stands for:

  • vertical currents of hot material from the deep earth's mantle, which arise due to the mantle convection; see Plume (geology)
  • ascending gas masses in the atmosphere of a planet in planetology, see Plume (atmosphere)
  • In fire protection, smoke gases rising over fires, see plume formulas (for dimensioning smoke extraction systems)
