Podlaska Wytwórnia Samolotów (PWS) was a Polish aircraft manufacturer from the 1920s and 1930s .

Founded in 1923 by Biała Podlaska , only licensed Czechoslovak ( Avia ) and French ( Potez ) aircraft were manufactured during the first three years . The first own designs followed from 1926. A year later, the PWS-10 was the first aircraft to be built in series by PWS (80 pieces).

In 1932 the company went bankrupt and was nationalized a year later. Both military and civilian models were produced, the most common type being the single-engine school biplane PWS-26 .

In 1939 the PWS plant was destroyed by bombing raids by the German air force .
