Poker Flat Research Range

Poker Flat Research Range ( PFRR ) is a launch site for sounding rockets in Alaska , which the geophysical institute of the since 1968 University of Alaska Fairbanks is operated.

The Poker Flat Research Range has five launch pads. Numerous suborbital rockets , especially of the Nike and Arcas types , have been launched there since 1954 .

The largest rockets launched at Poker Flat to date were the Black Brant XII .
