Pol Vanhaecke

Pol Vanhaecke (* 1963 ) is a Belgian mathematician.

Vanhaecke received his doctorate in 1991 under Paul Dooghe (and Mark Adler ) at the Catholic University of Leuven (Explicit Techniques for Studying Two-Dimensional Integrable Systems). He is a professor at the University of Poitiers .

Vanhaecke deals with Poisson manifolds and Poisson structures, integrable systems and their geometry, Abelian varieties and deformation quantization.

Anne Pichereau is one of his doctoral students .
