Policía Trafico

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Policía Trafico is the slang term used by the traffic police in Spain . The tasks of the traffic police such as B. Traffic controls , alcohol controls and roadblocks are carried out by the various police forces of the state, the autonomous communities and the municipalities.

The "Agrupación de Tráfico" of the Guardia Civil is responsible for trunk roads ( national roads and motorways ) at least where the autonomous communities do not have their own police force . In areas where national roads lead through built-up areas, the responsibilities between Policía Trafico and Policía Local overlap, and they usually work together.
