Poliosis describes the white discoloration of body hair such as eyelashes , brows, scalp or pubic hair. If only individual strands of hair are affected, it is called poliosis circumscripta . The pigment disorder alone has no disease value. However, it can appear as a symptom of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome , Waardenburg syndrome, or albinism .
