Politeϊa community

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Politeïa Community is a network of student partner organizations worldwide that share common goals and structures. The community is represented by the member organization that is hosting the next International Summer Academy, which has established itself as the main main event of the Politeia Community.

The location of the summer academy changes every year: 2000 Berlin (Germany), 2001 Madrid (Spain), 2002 Zagreb (Croatia), 2003 Paris (France), 2004 Mexico City (Mexico), 2005 Bratislava (Slovakia), 2006 Warsaw and Krakow (Poland) [...]. In 2015, the Student Forum in Tönissteiner Kreis eV organized the International Summer Academy in Berlin (Germany), and at the end of June 2016 the LSE's Grimshaw International Relations Club invited to London (Great Britain). In addition, members of the individual national organizations use the opportunity to be accepted into the group of student organizations active in the target country and to take part in their events when they are abroad.

The community wants to sensitize the young generation to common global interests and values and thus contribute to improved governance. The network is therefore open to student organizations that are (i) politically and religiously independent, (ii) interdisciplinary and (iii) nationally organized. Furthermore, (iv) active project work with a socio-political focus must be in the foreground of the association's purpose.
