Political Ecology - "The magazine for lateral thinkers and Vordenkerinnen" (original spelling "political ecology") is a specialist journal on political ecology in German-speaking countries. It has been published quarterly by oekom-Verlag Munich since 1987 . According to the publisher, political ecology wants to be a forum for discussions across established specialist boundaries and, in the selection of authors, should trace the dialogue between science, business, politics and non-governmental organizations . The special issues on individual topics are available from the archive.
history
In September 1987 Jacob Radloff developed the journal Political Ecology from the members' newsletter of the Ernst Friedrich Schumacher Society for Political Ecology. In April 1999 the magazine was converted to a concept with four themed issues per year. The news section of the spectrum has since been continued as the environmental information service punkt.um (today: Umwelt aktuell ). Since issue 100 of September 2006, the non-profit association for ecological communication has published Political Ecology.
