The Polonia Warsaw Stadium ( Polish : Stadion Polonii Warszawa ) is a multi-purpose stadium in the city center of the Polish capital Warsaw . It is mainly used as the venue for the Polonia Warsaw football club , which was downgraded to the fifth-class 4th league by the association for the 2013/14 season after its license was withdrawn, but also for the Warsaw Eagles football club . The city of Warsaw rents the stadium.
The stadium, which was built in 1928, currently offers space for 7,150 spectators. The west stand was thoroughly modernized in 2007. A major expansion is currently planned for the stadium, after completion the new, modern arena should accommodate around 20,000 spectators.
The stadium was used as a training ground for the 2012 European Football Championship .
