Polonia London is an English volleyball club from London , whose men's division plays under the name IBB Polonia London and the women's division under the name Polonia SideOut London in the National Super League .
history
In 1973 Maciej Behnke and Henryk Pauliński, members of the Polish YMCA in London, founded a volleyball club. The club initially played under the name Polish YMCA in Division III. At that time, a second Polish club Gryf played in the English top division I. In 1978, the two clubs merged. In 1980 the women's department was established. Since the 1982/1983 season the club has been playing under the name Polonia London. A partnership with the top Polish club Skra Bełchatów has existed since 2013 .
