Polylog (stylized to polylog ) is the only philosophical journal that is exclusivelydedicated tothe new trend of intercultural philosophizing . The magazine appears twice a year in German, and each issue is dedicated to a key topic.

Polylog was founded in 1998 by the Vienna Society for Intercultural Philosophy (WiGiP) in order to offer a wide professional audience of philosophers, cultural scientists, theologians and other humanities and social scientists from all regions of the world an equal space for discourse.

The first issues were mainly devoted to clarifying the concept of an intercultural philosophy, the philosophical requirements of an intercultural discourse and the reorientation of culture-centrist traditions and terminology.

With regard to the objective of the magazine, editorial member Michael Shorny wrote in the first issue: “'polylog' wants to make the many philosophizing voices in the context of their respective cultures and in their relevance for other cultures, in all ways of their articulation, equally audible to one another. "

Each issue is devoted to a different topic, such as philosophy in Islam, universalism, tolerance, translation, self-cultivation, human rights or biotechnology.
