Pontius Proculus Pontianus

Pontius Proculus Pontianus was a Roman politician and senator .

The consular Tiberius Pontius Pontianus, legate under Emperor Elagabal , was probably his father, or at least related. Family relationship was certainly to Junius Pontius Proculus , of the territory of the Macedonian city of Philippi - perhaps the home of Pontii Proculi - latifundia owned.

Pontius became full consul in the year of the sixth emperor. After that, Pontius praeses (governor) became superior to Germania . There, under his patronage, he restored the water pipe in the Öhringer West Fort at the end of 241.
