Popular music research or pop music research is the name for the scientific discipline, the content of which is the theoretical occupation with pop music , that is, the research and reflection of all aspects of pop music and making music. The pop music phenomenon is viewed from the perspective of the relevant disciplines, including media studies , systematic musicology and ethnomusicology ; with humanities, cultural, natural, social and structural science approaches, as well as with an empirical approach.
