Peter Köhncke

Peter Köhncke (born April 29, 1935 in Schwerin ) is a German actor .

From 1957 Köhncke worked on many theaters in the GDR , including in Eisleben , Bautzen , Altenburg and Greifswald . He then worked freelance. He made his television debut in 1964 as Count von Stauffenberg in the television play "Das Attentat". In the movie The Third , he played alongside Jutta Hoffmann the lecturer Bachmann.

The single widower applied for an exit visa in 1989 and, after moving from the GDR to the Federal Republic of Germany, initially accepted an engagement at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater , which he quickly lost due to allegations that he had been an employee of the GDR State Security . Since then he has received no further engagements as an actor. According to the "Birthler Authority" , no evidence of a collaboration with the MfS was found in the files.
