The Vrångstad dolmen

The dolmen of Vrångstad ( Swedish called Stendös vid Vrångstad or Bottna 1) is located near Kallsängen in Bottna socken , in Kville härad, in the province of Bohuslän in Sweden, just a little southwest of the rock carvings by Kallsängen. It originated between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC as a megalithic system of the funnel beaker culture (TBK).

The dolmen ( Swedish Dös ) of the polygonal dolmen type lies as a transverse lying in a barren bed, the hills of which are still well and the partly quite large curbs are still partially preserved. The capstone protruding on all sides lies on relatively small supporting stones that form a small chamber.

On the associated burial ground are 90 monuments, including two stone circles ( Swedish domarringar ) from the Iron Age with 8 and 11 stones; the passage grave of Tyfta and a barrow field with building stones ( Swedish Resta stenar ).
