Portal de ses Taules is the main entrance to the walled enclosure of Ibiza's old town . The portal lies between the bastions of Sant Joan and Santa Llúcia and was built between 1584 and 1585. In 1888, a drawbridge with wooden planks was added to the moat in front of the portal and a paved ramp was built. The plaque above the gate manifested the claims of the Spanish King Philip II at the time to rule over the Balearic Islands. With the construction of the city wall, the king also protected the island from attacks by pirates. On both sides of the portal there are replicas of the original statues, the two originals of the Roman marble statues are in the Museo Arqueológico of Ibiza.

The building is a listed building.
