Porte de Clichy is an underground station on the Paris Métro . It is located below the avenue de la Porte de Clichy in the 17th arrondissement of Paris and is served by Metro line 13 . It is possible to change to the RER C at the underground station of the same name, Porte de Clichy .
The station went into operation on January 20, 1912 when the section of Line 13 (then Line B) from La Fourche station to Porte de Clichy station opened. On March 27, 1931, line B was renamed line 13. The station is located on the northwest branch of line 13. Until May 3, 1980, it was the end point of the northwest branch of the line. Further plans envisage that line 3 of the Paris tram should run through the station.
Line 14 is currently being extended by five stations from Saint-Lazare to Saint-Denis - Pleyel . Saint-Denis - Pleyel will be a new public transport hub in the north of Paris, where metro lines 14, 15, 16 and 17 will meet (opening in 2024). Commissioning for Porte de Clichy is planned for 2021.
