Poseidon for UML is a proprietary and platform-independent UML tool ( CASE tool ) written in Java for the description, modeling and simulation (the latter only in a future expansion stage) of ( software ) systems and for code generation . It comes from the free ArgoUML project, which is less functional due to the lack of developers ( e.g. UML 1.4 instead of UML 2 compatibility).

Properties of Poseidon for UML

The program is compatible with the UML standard version 2. Graphically created designs / software architectures (models) can be converted into program code for the most common programming languages ; conversely, existing program code can automatically be transferred back into a graphic design / software architecture (model) ( reverse engineering ).
