Posthof Illingen

Posthof Illingen is the name of a former post office in Illingen (Württemberg) . The three-storey building, erected in 1583, has a masonry ground floor and two timber-framed floors protruding by the width of a beam. Duke Eberhard III. After a renovation, the building was handed over to Maulbronn Abbey in 1669 . From 1812 the building was used as a post office and post office for the Thurn-und-Taxis-Lehnspost . It was renovated and partially plastered. Post office operations ended on June 30, 1851.

The ensemble, consisting of the post office and the "Kelter", a solid building with two arched gates and a gable roof, is now a listed building.
