As postcard mailing is called the mass mailing of postcards for advertising purposes. In contrast to e-cards , the cards are printed and personalized and then sent by post.

layout

Just like conventional postcards , these cards can be printed on the front with a freely designable motif. The reverse is addressed and franked. Here, compliance with the design guidelines for the address side of the mailer must be observed.

Postcard mailing formats

Any number of formats can be used for postcard mailing. Here are some examples:

designation format Minimum basis weight Weight for 300 g / m² paper Postage per item ( Dialogpost )
DIN A6 14.8 x 10.5 cm 170 g / m² 5 g 0.28 euros
DIN long 21.0 x 10.5 cm 200 g / m² 7 g 0.28 euros
Maxicard format 23.5 x 12.5 cm 250 g / m² 9 g 0.28 euros

Production of postcard mailings

Postcard mailings are produced - depending on the edition, in 4-color digital printing or in offset printing with subsequent personalization. Print service providers can be used on site to print the mailings. The offer is now also supplemented by some online providers.

Finishing

In order to further increase the postcard effect, surface refinements such as UV varnishing or film lamination are often used in postcard mailings. Applied on one side, these lead to the typical postcard look.

Sending postcard mailings

Postcard mailings are typically sent with Deutsche Post or similar postal senders. The regular Infopost tariff applies, which is also used for enveloped mailings or self-mailers .
