Postcode (Norway)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Norwegian postal code was introduced by the postal administration on March 18, 1968. It is a four-digit identifier that is always set in full in the address of the mail items to the left of the destination. It is intended exclusively for distribution work in the outgoing mail. Incoming letters are only taken into account to the extent that larger post offices have been assigned an additional zip code for the post office box collector.
