Pothole Gulch ( English for Pit Gorge ) is a gorge in the southeast of Vindication Island in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1971 after the numerous glacier pots that crossed the valley floor of the gorge.
