Potlatch is a Flash- based OpenStreetMap editor for geospatial data . In contrast to the JOSM editor, changes and additions can be made online. While JOSM is more suitable for more extensive work, with Potlatch even beginners can edit maps without much training.
A web browser and at least version 8 of the Flash plug-in are required .
In the summer of 2010, the alpha version of Potlatch 2 was presented, which was completely reprogrammed. In December 2010, Potlatch 2 was released for general use. After Microsoft released the aerial photographs from their Bing Maps service for use in OSM, Potlatch 2 was expanded so that these aerial photographs can be displayed as a background.
