Predorsal scale

As Prädorsalschuppen ( engl. Predorsal scales or median predorsal scales) are in the middle of the back, between the end of the skull and the beginning of the dorsal fin lying (dorsal) scales referred to fish. The number of predorsal scales is a criterion when determining fish.
