Presence university

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The on-site university is a university where lectures take place in the presence of professors and students. This form is - with the distance university as the opposite - the "usual" university, so to speak.

The term is used in particular by students at distance universities such as the FernUniversität in Hagen in order to distinguish the different types of study from each other.

It does not always have to mean a university, it is often used to describe all universities, including universities of applied sciences - provided that lectures take place there.
