Prado Gatão

Prado Gatão is a village in the Portuguese municipality of Palaçoulo (Miranda do Douro district).

It is about two kilometers southeast of the main town. The IC5 highway (Vila do Conde - Miranda do Douro) passes the village to the southeast .

Until 1757 Prado Gatão was its own freguesia . The townscape is determined by the parish church , which was built at the highest point of the settlement. Another sacred building is the Capela de Santo Cristo .
