Prager Handgriff is a German-language music project from the electronics field that was founded in 1990 by Stefan Schäfer and Volker Rathmann in Witten .
history
In April 1993, the debut Arglistige Deception appeared as a further development of their musical style, which until then was reflected in four demo tapes and several compilation contributions. A year later, the second long player Taterschaft & Participation followed , with which Prager Handgriff was able to establish itself in the German electronic scene and, due to the current textual references to political events and the use of deep, German-language male chants, anticipated the New German Hardship on an electronic basis.
In 2005 the band released a best-of double CD with handicrafts as a review of their previous work.
On February 21, 2011 her album Arbeit, Sport und Spiel was released on the new label Electric Tremor Dessau , which after a long time only contains new material.
On February 27, 2015, a new CD entitled Roburit will be released by Infacted Recordings for the 25th anniversary of the band .
