The journal Praxis (formerly also Schweizerische Rundschau für Medizin ) is a Swiss medical journal with peer review and designed as a "training journal " for doctors. Praxis is listed in Medline , EMBASE and Scopus . The journal includes the sections Continuous Medical Education and Diagnosis .

Editors are Edouard Battegay (managing editor), Reto Nüesch, Johann Steurer and Bernard Waeber.

History of publication

The journal Schweizerische Rundschau für Medizin ( Revue suisse de médecine ) first appeared in 1909 and went into practice in 1923 , the first year of which was in 1912. From 1923 to 1969 the magazine was entitled Praxis: Schweizerische Rundschau für Medizin and was published by Hans-Huber-Verlag in Bern. From 1970 to 1994 the journal Schweizerische Rundschau für Medizin was called PRAXIS and was published by Hallwag-Verlag in Bern. Since then it has appeared as a practice: Schweizerische Rundschau für Medizin , initially with Hallwag, and since September 1996 again with Hans-Huber-Verlag.

The magazine was published weekly until 2007, and has been published every two weeks since 2008.
