Presidente Getúlio , officially Município de Presidente Getúlio , is a small town in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina . 16,474 inhabitants live there (2014).
It was founded in 1904 by immigrants from Switzerland as Neu-Zürich . In 1934 the place was named Dalbergia , later New Breslau . on February 10, 1954 he was named after the two-time President Getúlio Vargas .
